About Anan: Anan tunes into her pre-med side as a Medical Assistant at Comprehensive Pain Center and by doing clinical research at UMMC Shock Trauma. She also has a love for teaching and mentoring, which she fulfills by being a TA for BSCI207 & 170, along with volunteering with youth-at-risk. Anan’s current side-quest involves interning at the Maryland General Assembly in the office of Delegate Samuel Rosenberg, where she gets to listen to hearings on health policy bills! When she’s not being a busy bee, Anan loves trying new recipes, reading mystery/thriller novels, playing minecraft with friends, and stargazing.

In her free time, she enjoys baking bread pudding, spending time with her friends and family, and watching Bollywood movies.

About Saharsha: Saharsha tunes into his pre-med side by volunteering at UMMC Shock Trauma. He also mentors students who are new to the world of research through the FIRE Program. On weeknights, Saharsha is often recovering food at dining halls as a leader for the Food Recovery Network. Whenever he has a spare moment, you can catch him on the way to the gym, watching anime, trying out new restaurants with friends, or watching old-school horror movies.
Hidden Talent: Can go through a whole pint of Ben & Jerry’s in one sitting, even after working in an ice cream shop for 3 years.

About Lua: Lua tunes into her pre-med side by volunteering at UMMC Shock Trauma and as a Medical Assistant at the Pregnancy Aid Center. Additionally, she conducts research on the impact of social hierarchy and status on the nervous system in a lab on campus. She’s passionate about serving underrepresented communities impacted by cancer, and creates an impact as the Vice President of UMD’s Trials for Colors. In her downtime, you can find Lua reading, crocheting and embroidering, or playing piano at Carnegie Hall.
